Data Migration

We provide free basic websites data transfer for our customers who order new service. Data migration is not charged separately, but it does not include complete and unlimited system administration. Please schedule the migration procedure at the time agreed with the support service team.

Data transfer service can be applied to newly ordered VDS or dedicated server with Vesta or ISPManager5 control panels installed. To carry out the transfer you need to open a request in the “Support Center” of the self-service system and describe the technical requirements and other important details of your website – additional modules, requirements for specific versions of the server software, etc.

After agreeing on all the technical features create a backup copy of the site on the source server and notify the technical support of the access parameters for downloading it. Typically, the procedure for transferring resources does not take much time and after it ends, the technical support will ask you to test your resource on new location. After the successful completion of the check, the name servers or IP addresses in the corresponding domain zones should be changed in order for resources to be available from current locations.

In the event that data transfer between active services is required, please note the following requirements:

• Both services need to be active.
• Destination service should be newly ordered.
• Free data transfer performed by technical support is possible only when new service has a higher plan than the old (source) service.
